Team Profile
The Lafayette Leopards in Easton, Pennsylvania, have a tradition rich in championship glory and academic pride. Since 1865, the maroon and white Leopards have distinguished themselves by combining competitive excellence with academic commitment across 23 varsity sports in the Patriot League. Lafayette has claimed three college football national titles (1896, 1921, 1926), becoming the first non-Ivy League school to rise to the pinnacle of college football. The storied rivalry with Lehigh, known as "The Rivalry," is the longest-running in college football history with 157 meetings since 1884. Their baseball program competed in four College World Series in the 1950s and 1960s, and their field hockey program ranks 12th nationally in winning percentage. Historic venues like Fisher Stadium and Kirby Sports Center host passionate crowds as mascot Roary rallies the charge. Lafayette athletes exemplify competitive tenacity and academic excellence, carrying forth a tradition that ignites Easton every season. When the Leopards prowl, championships follow.
