Team Profile
The Troy Trojans represent Troy University in Troy, Alabama, with pride in cardinal, silver, and black. Competing in NCAA Division I’s Sun Belt Conference, the Trojans boast 16 national championships across multiple sports. Their football legacy includes the 1968 NAIA national title and two NCAA Division II crowns in 1984 and 1987. Recent accolades include five consecutive Sun Belt championships from 2006-2010 and historic wins over ranked teams like #17 Missouri in 2004. The program achieved its first College Football Playoff ranking in 2022 after winning the Sun Belt Championship. Men’s golf boasts three NCAA Division II national titles and 19 consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, matched by women’s golf with three national titles. The men’s basketball team set the NCAA record for highest-scoring game in 1992, while consistently leading in three-point shooting. From rodeo national champions to sustained conference dominance, Troy continues to build a multi-sport culture of excellence and warrior spirit.
