The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers and Lady Toppers showcase a tradition of red and white excellence at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. Competing in NCAA Division I Conference USA, the Hilltoppers boast a storied men’s basketball program with over 1,600 wins and a rich football heritage highlighted by the 2002 Division I-AA National Championship and consecutive Conference USA titles in 2015 and 2016. The Lady Toppers basketball team reached national prominence with three NCAA Final Four appearances during the 1980s under coach Paul Sanderford and remains a powerful force in E.A. Diddle Arena. Western Kentucky’s Olympic legacy is highlighted by swimming gold medalist Claire Donahue at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
