Team Profile
The Angelo State University Rams and Rambelles embody the rugged spirit of West Texas, a culture of championship dominance, and a legacy of producing elite athletes from their home in San Angelo. As a perennial powerhouse in the elite Lone Star Conference, Angelo State has built one of the most successful and well-rounded athletic departments in Division II, capturing NCAA national championships in four different sports. This championship pedigree is highlighted by a dominant baseball program that captured the 2023 NCAA College World Series, and a legendary Rambelles track and field dynasty that has won multiple national titles. The university's winning foundation was laid by a historic football program with its own national championship and a Rambelles softball team that conquered the 2004 Women's College World Series. The Ram football team continues to be a national force, making deep runs in the NCAA playoffs and embodying the tough, physical brand of Texas football. The Angelo State Rams and Rambelles represent the gold standard of Division II athletics, a program defined by a relentless pursuit of excellence and a trophy case that proves they know how to win it all.
