The Central Arkansas Bears and Sugar Bears stand as proud symbols of Arkansas spirit at the University of Central Arkansas in Conway. Founded in 1907, the Bears compete fiercely in the Atlantic Sun Conference, wearing purple and gray with honor. Their story is built on moments that showcase resilience and championship resolve, with three NAIA Football National Championships in 1984, 1985, and 1991 marking a period of elite dominance. In addition, the Bears boast 13 Arkansas Intercollegiate Conference titles and a strong record during the transition to Division I competition. Among their legendary alumni is NBA Hall of Famer Scottie Pippen, whose rise from walk-on to superstar singer their basketball legacy forever. Estes Stadium and Farris Center transform into battlegrounds where purple and gray fans unite behind Bruce D.
