Team Profile
The CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves embody the blue-collar grit of a historic Steel City, a modern culture of championship dominance, and the resilient spirit of their home in Pueblo, Colorado. The university's modern identity was forged in one of the most remarkable program-building stories in college football; after reinstating football in 2008 following a 24-year hiatus, the ThunderWolves made a meteoric rise to the top, capturing the 2014 NCAA Division II National Championship. That national title was the pinnacle of an era that saw "The Pack" create a dynasty in the powerful Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, establishing a reputation for tough, suffocating defense and a relentless will to win. The ThunderWolves' tradition of national success extends to the track and field program, which has consistently produced a number of individual NCAA National Champions and All-Americans. The unique ThunderWolf mascot symbolizes the combination of speed and power that defines the university's athletic programs, competing with a ferocity that reflects their proud community. The CSU Pueblo ThunderWolves are a testament to the power of revitalization, a program that has proudly restored a championship legacy and stands as a true reflection of Pueblo's tough and determined heart.
