Since founding as a charter member of the Sun Belt Conference in 1976, Georgia State has developed success across multiple sports. The men’s basketball program boasts six NCAA Tournament appearances with notable advancements to the second and third rounds, building a fierce March Madness reputation. The relatively young football program, started in 2010, has rapidly grown into a contender with five bowl appearances and multiple victories, playing their home games at the historic Center Parc Stadium—the former Turner Field where Hank Aaron famously broke Babe Ruth’s record.
