Kent State University in Ohio is a prolific hub of athletic excellence and tradition since 1913, proudly known as the Golden Flashes. The men’s basketball program reached its greatest heights in 2002 with an Elite Eight run that captivated the nation, highlighted by a 30-win season and a dominant MAC record. Football boasts historic rivalries and a solid pipeline of NFL talent, including Hall of Fame members like Jack Lambert. In 2012, Kent State’s baseball team reached the College World Series, an extraordinary achievement for the program. Golf is a standout sport with 28 MAC titles for men’s golf and a historic British Open victory by Ben Curtis.
