Baseball history spans generations, with Cy Young coaching early Georgia State championships in the early 1900s and recent dominance including five ASUN Conference titles. When football returned after a 70-year hiatus in 2013, Mercer set NCAA records with 10 wins by a startup program. Five Star Stadium and Hawkins Arena are bear dens where mascot Toby rallies fans in black and orange unity.
