The South Alabama Jaguars represent the University of South Alabama in Mobile, Alabama, with proud blue, white, and red colors and a legacy rooted in championship excellence. As the only founding member to have competed continuously in the Sun Belt Conference, the Jaguars’ baseball program stands out with 12 tournament championships, producing MLB stars like World Series MVP David Freese and All-Stars Juan Pierre and Luis Gonzalez. Eddie Stanky Field provides a home for the 28 NCAA Tournament appearances they have earned. Their football program saw a historic undefeated stretch of 17-0 from 2009-2011, including consecutive perfect seasons, while men’s basketball saw a remarkable turnaround capturing Sun Belt titles and NCAA appearances. The men’s golf program claims 10 conference championships and has developed PGA Tour winner Heath Slocum. Track and field athletes have earned NCAA individual championships, rounding out a broad culture of competitive excellence in Alabama’s Heart of the South.
