The Stetson Hatters exemplify determination and athletic pride in Central Florida, representing Stetson University with hunter green and white colors. Since 1985, the Hatters have cultivated a respected athletics program within the ASUN Conference and the Pioneer Football League, known for producing professional athletes and consistent championship success. Their distinguished legacy includes Grace Lenczyk’s 1948 individual intercollegiate golf championship, a foundational moment for Stetson athletics. The baseball program at historic Melching Field has developed Major League Baseball stars including Jacob deGrom and Corey Kluber, alongside NFL talents like Donald Parham and Donald Payne. Venues such as the J. Ollie Edmunds Center and Spec Martin Memorial Stadium offer vibrant, competitive home environments. Beyond baseball, the university supports 19 varsity sports, promoting academic and athletic excellence. The spirited mascot John B. rallies fans with boundless enthusiasm.
