The Weber State Wildcats proudly embody mountain resilience and fierce passion at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. Since 1963, the Wildcats have prowled the Big Sky Conference with purple and white colors, building a legacy of competitive excellence. Their basketball program ranks among the nation’s best with over 1,000 wins and 18 Big Sky championships, noted for stunning NCAA Tournament upsets of top seeds Michigan State and North Carolina in the 1990s. Football reached new heights with a historic quarterfinal run in 2008 under Coach Ron McBride, solidifying their FCS status. On the diamond, the softball team has made five NCAA Tournament appearances, including their first tournament win in 2019. The Dee Events Center resonates with purple pride as the home of successful basketball squads. Spanning 16 varsity sports, Weber State integrates competitive spirit with community support.
