Team Profile
The West Georgia Wolves represent the vibrant spirit of Carrollton, Georgia, competing with passion and pride for the University of West Georgia. Since 1983, the Wolves have built a highly successful program spanning multiple sports, competing in the ASUN Conference and United Athletic Conference with blue and red pride. Their rich championship tradition includes the 1974 NAIA men’s basketball national title and an extraordinary cheerleading dynasty with 24 UCA national championships, including eight consecutive co-ed titles from 2002 to 2009, along with multiple all-female championships. West Georgia has earned 18 NCAA Tournament appearances in basketball and competed at the 1974 Women’s College World Series in softball. The program has developed 40 All-Gulf South basketball players and 17 NCAA All-Americans, emphasizing depth and excellence. Home venues such as University Stadium and The Coliseum, designed partly by NBA legend Dominique Wilkins’ firm, provide modern, energized environments. With a legacy rooted in Gulf South Conference dominance and a strong Division I presence, the Wolves continue to set the standard for athletic competitiveness and commitment in Georgia.
