Aden Holloway - Player Bio
Aden Holloway is a high-level guard currently anchoring the backcourt for the Alabama Crimson Tide. Known for his deep shooting range, advanced pick-and-roll feel, and scoring confidence, Holloway has emerged as one of the SEC’s most dangerous perimeter threats. His blend of pace, creativity, and control allows him to both run an offense and take over games as a scorer.
Raised in the Charlotte, North Carolina area, Holloway developed early as a dynamic lead guard with a polished handle and fearlessness against elite competition. He began his high school career at Covenant Day School, where he filled the stat sheet as a scorer, passer, and defender. Seeking top-tier national exposure, he transferred to La Lumiere School in Indiana and later Prolific Prep in California, helping guide one of the nation’s premier prep programs. His consistent production on the national circuit earned invitations to the McDonald’s All-American Game, Jordan Brand Classic, and Nike Hoops Summit, cementing his status as a five-star recruit in the 2023 class.
Holloway initially committed to Auburn, where he made an immediate impact as a freshman, flashing elite shot-making and creativity off the dribble. Following a strong debut season, he transferred to Alabama, where his game has taken another step forward. With the Crimson Tide, he has increased his scoring efficiency, improved his three-point shooting, and thrived in high-tempo, high-spacing lineups.
Off the court, Holloway is praised for his professionalism, work ethic, and coachability. With family ties to high-level athletics and dual Canadian-American roots, he brings maturity and poise beyond his years. As his career continues in Tuscaloosa, Holloway projects as one of the SEC’s most exciting guards and a player with impact potential beyond college basketball.
