The Eastern Intercollegiate Ski Association (EISA) is an NCAA skiing-only conference governing collegiate ski racing across the northeastern United States, one of three regional ski conferences alongside the Central Collegiate Ski Association (CCSA) and the Rocky Mountain Intercollegiate Ski Association (RMISA). Unlike most NCAA conferences, the EISA is unique in that it brings together Division I, Division II, and Division III schools under one banner, as the NCAA does not divide skiing by division. The conference competes in both Alpine and Nordic disciplines, with its 15 member institutions spanning New England and the broader Northeast. The EISA season runs from mid-January through late February and is organized around six weekend competitions known as Winter Carnivals, held at historic venues including the Dartmouth Skiway, Middlebury Snow Bowl, and Whiteface Mountain — site of the 1980 Winter Olympics. The season culminates with the EISA Championships, with top individual finishers advancing to the NCAA Skiing Championships in early March. The University of Vermont has been the conference's dominant program in recent years, winning five consecutive EISA Championships from 2019 through 2024 and claiming the title 34 times in program history. Dartmouth College has also been a consistent national contender, regularly leading the eastern region at the NCAA Championships. EISA athletes have proven highly competitive on the national stage, regularly claiming podium spots at the NCAA Championships across both Alpine and Nordic events.
