The Southern States Athletic Conference (SSAC) is a premier collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Originally founded in 1999 as the Georgia-Alabama-Carolina Conference (GACC), the league underwent a strategic rebranding in 2004 to adopt its current name, better reflecting its expanding footprint. Today, the conference features highly competitive member institutions located across the southeastern United States, primarily in Alabama, Georgia, Louisiana, and Mississippi.
Regarded as one of the most formidable and consistently strong conferences within the NAIA, the SSAC sponsors championships across a wide variety of men''s and women''s sports, including basketball, baseball, soccer, softball, and tennis. The league boasts a rich history of athletic excellence, frequently producing NAIA National Championship teams and hundreds of individual All-Americans.
