The Cornell Big Red represent excellence, tradition, and championship glory at Cornell University in Ithaca, New York. Since adopting their iconic “Big Red” identity in 1905, Cornell has built one of college athletics' most comprehensive legacies, proving dominance across 37 varsity sports in carnelian red and white. With an unmatched championship pedigree, Cornell’s men’s ice hockey team has captured two NCAA titles, including the only undefeated Division I season in 1970. The men’s lacrosse team boasts four NCAA championships and an Ivy League record 33 league titles. Cornell’s rowing teams lead all universities with 26 heavyweight and 8 lightweight IRA National Championships. Wrestling claims 44 Ivy League titles alongside numerous EIWA championships, and women’s polo has dominated with 15 national titles. The program also claims success in sprint football with six CSFL championships and historic football crowns in the early 20th century. Lynah Rink, famed for its passionate crowd that throws fish during Harvard games, provides an intimidating atmosphere where Touchdown the Bear leads the charge.
