Miami University in Oxford, Ohio, is famed as the “Cradle of Coaches” for producing iconic figures like Woody Hayes, Bo Schembechler, and Sean McVay. Since 1888, the RedHawks have exemplified tradition and championship fervor. The hockey program reached the 2009 Frozen Four and continues developing future NHL stars in the state-of-the-art Goggin Ice Center. The synchronized skating team has achieved national and international honors, earning silver at the 2007 World Championships. Miami boasts multiple MAC championships across football, basketball, golf, baseball, and more. Notable football alumni include Super Bowl champions and leaders. The red and white colors and mascot Swoop signify fierce determination and respect. Club sports have also excelled nationally, particularly in water skiing.
