Team Profile
The Mississippi Valley State Delta Devils and Devilettes represent proud determination and championship heritage at Mississippi Valley State University in Itta Bena, Mississippi. Competing in NCAA Division I’s Southwestern Athletic Conference, the Delta Devils hold a rich legacy marked by two NAIA national men’s outdoor track and field championships (1980, 1981) and consistent development of elite athletes competing professionally and internationally across 13 varsity sports. Their track and field program has consistently produced Olympians and world-class competitors in sprinting, jumping, and field events at Olympic trials and World Championships. From Rice–Totten Stadium to the Harrison HPER Complex, Mississippi Valley State builds enduring championship traditions, advancing student-athlete success in professional football, basketball, baseball, and track disciplines. With forest green and white pride, the Delta Devils and Devilettes forge pathways to Olympic dreams and professional achievement while honoring their deep-rooted HBCU heritage in the Mississippi Delta’s heartland.
