Their football program claimed back-to-back NCAA Division II National Championships in 1996 and 1997, signaling the arrival of a dominant force. Noteworthy is their women’s softball program which pioneered NCAA competition by participating in all of the first eleven Women’s College World Series tournaments, compiling a stellar 37-22 record and three championship game appearances. Home venues Nottingham Field and Bank of Colorado Arena provide energetic environments where passionate fans rally behind the Bears.
