The Northwestern State Demons and Lady Demons of Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana, carry a legacy of excellence, tradition, and championship spirit. Competing in the Southland Conference across 12 varsity sports, the Demons have produced Olympic champions such as Kenta Bell and LaMark Carter in track and field, highlighting their athletic pedigree. Known for historic NCAA Tournament upsets including victories over Iowa and play-in game success against Winthrop, Northwestern State has demonstrated its giant-killing spirit. Prather Coliseum and Harry Turpin Stadium serve as epicenters for competitive energy and championship development. Proudly wearing purple, white, and orange, the Demons embrace their heritage as Louisiana’s oldest settlement’s flagship athletes, continuing to develop champions and Olympians fueled by fierce determination and "Fork ‘em" pride.
