The Prairie View A&M Panthers and Lady Panthers stand as a beacon of dominance and tradition at Prairie View A&M University in Texas. As Southwestern Athletic Conference members, the Panthers showcase exceptional athletic achievement highlighted by 15 NAIA national championships, with a women’s track and field dynasty capturing nine consecutive outdoor titles from 1982 to 1990. This success has facilitated the development of Olympic-level athletes competing at trials and top international competitions in sprinting, distance events, jumping, and field disciplines.
