Team Profile
The Stonehill College Skyhawks embody the ambitious spirit of a rising program, a deep commitment to the student-athlete ideal, and a proven history of championship success from their home in Easton, Massachusetts. After decades as a perennial power in the elite Northeast-10 Conference of Division II, Stonehill elevated its entire athletic department to the Division I level in 2022, embracing new challenges in the Northeast Conference. The Skyhawks' championship pedigree is rooted in its women's lacrosse dynasty, a program that captured two NCAA Division II National Championships and made numerous trips to the Final Four, establishing a national standard for excellence. This winning culture extends to the hardwood, where the men's basketball team was a consistent national contender, highlighted by a memorable run to the 2012 D-II Final Four. The college's bold ambition is epitomized by the launch of its Division I men's ice hockey program, a major investment designed to compete on a new and prominent stage in New England. The Stonehill Skyhawks are a program on the ascent, purposefully building on a legacy of academic and athletic achievement as they forge their new identity in the Division I landscape.
