Raider Red is the face of Texas Tech basketball, a Division I program competing in the Big 12 since 1923. The Red Raiders have carried the Texas Tech name on the court for over 103 seasons. Texas Tech basketball has logged 21 NCAA tournament appearances. The program has won 5 Big 12 titles. Texas Tech has played 33 games this season, finishing 22-11. Alex Caruso went undrafted out of College Station and won a title anyway. R.C. Buford, who played here in the seventies, has run the San Antonio front office for two decades, so the path out of this program is not only as a player.
