The University of Florida Gators exemplify comprehensive athletic power and championship tradition in Gainesville, Florida. Known for the alligator mascot since 1908, the Gators boast 49 NCAA team championships and 367 individual national titles, ranking among the nation’s most successful programs. Florida belongs to an elite group of schools with national championships in football, men’s basketball, and baseball. The men’s basketball team has claimed three NCAA titles (2006, 2007, 2025), and the football program has secured three national championships with three Heisman Trophy winners among its ranks. The baseball program captured its first College World Series title in 2017. The school leads the Southeastern Conference with 261 team titles.
