Team Profile
The University of Wisconsin-Madison Badgers define Midwestern grit and athletic prowess. Since 1889, Wisconsin athletics have claimed 33 NCAA team national championships across women’s and men’s ice hockey, boxing, cross country, basketball, and rowing. The women’s ice hockey program is a powerhouse with eight national titles, while men’s hockey boasts six. The basketball program captured the NCAA championship in 1941, and men’s rowing has nine national crowns. Camp Randall Stadium’s “Jump Around” tradition creates one of college football’s most electrifying environments, backed by Heisman winners Alan Ameche and Ron Dayne. The Wisconsin Badgers are proud under the spirited leadership of mascot Bucky Badger, whose energy and tenacity shine through every competition. Tradition, resilience, and unwavering fan support make Wisconsin a symbol of championship determination in the heartland.
