The Alabama Community College Conference (ACCC) is a premier junior college athletic conference affiliated with the National Junior College Athletic Association (NJCAA), functioning entirely as NJCAA Region 22. Encompassing a vast network of two-year state community colleges and technical schools across Alabama, the ACCC is a crucial stepping stone in the collegiate sports ecosystem. Operating outside the four-year university structure, the ACCC serves as a high-stakes proving ground where student-athletes compete relentlessly to earn scholarships to NCAA Division I and II programs. The conference sponsors intense regional competition in Basketball, Baseball, Softball, and Volleyball. Programs like Shelton State and Wallace State are nationally recognized JUCO powerhouses, turning their gymnasiums into heavily scouted recruiting hotbeds. With a deeply ingrained culture of grit and second chances, the ACCC embodies the raw, unfiltered passion of junior college athletics.
