The American Midwest Conference (AMC) is a highly competitive collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). Established in 1986, the AMC features a tightly knit roster of private universities, historic colleges, and specialized institutions located primarily in Missouri and Arkansas. Operating without a centrally sponsored American football schedule, the conference channels its intense regional rivalries into elite NAIA Basketball, Baseball, and Soccer. The league is known for its rigorous academic standards and physical, defensively sound basketball programs. With recent expansion efforts bringing in new institutions to fortify its footprint, the AMC remains a highly respected destination for student-athletes in the Midwest seeking the pure, community-driven athletic experience that defines the NAIA.
