The Florida College System Activities Association (FCSAA) is the official governing body for all two-year college athletics, academic, and student activities within the state of Florida, operating in sports as NJCAA Region 8. Established in 1946, the FCSAA supervises a massive network of community and state colleges. While many of its high-profile members compete within sub-conferences like the Citrus Conference, the FCSAA also directly hosts smaller, unique, or geographically isolated institutions—such as the College of the Florida Keys—that operate outside of major sport-specific divisions. Serving as a crucial regulatory and competitive framework, the FCSAA ensures that student-athletes across Florida have a unified path to state championships and NJCAA national tournament qualifications.
