11 Schools•Division II•Est. 1990
The Peach Belt Conference is the "Refined Powerhouse" of the Southeastern United States, a premier NCAA Division II alliance that blends a sophisticated, high-resource collegiate environment with a ruthless competitive edge. Headquartered in Augusta, Georgia, the PBC is defined by an identity of "Southern Sophistication and National Dominance." Its footprint is strategically concentrated in the growing urban and historic corridors of Georgia, South Carolina, and Florida. It is a league of "Premier Public Institutions," where many campuses resemble Division I mid-majors, boasting top-tier facilities and a commitment to being the gold standard of the NCAA's Southeast Region.
The conference’s soul is anchored in its status as a National Factory for Spring Sports. The PBC is widely considered the most dangerous Baseball and Softball conference in the country, characterized by a "Draft-Pick" culture where pro scouts are a permanent fixture in the bleachers. Programs like North Georgia (UNG), Georgia College, and Columbus State have turned the "PBC Diamond" into a national gauntlet, frequently producing national champions and MLB talent. In Softball, the North Georgia "Nighthawks" have established a modern dynasty, consistently sitting atop the national rankings.
